Peel Police seize $1 Million in Drugs and a Loaded Firearm After Series of Search Warrants
Region of Peel – Officers from the 22 Division Community Intervention and Response Team (CIRT) have arrested and charged an adult male after conducting search warrants that led to the seizure of over $1 million of illicit drugs and a loaded illegal handgun.
Project Winner commenced in September 2025 after information was received through a community partnership about a suspected drug trafficking operation within the Region of Peel. Investigators identified the accused, a Toronto resident, who was observed conducting multiple drug transactions across the region.
On Oct. 31, 2025, police executed search warrants at multiple addresses in the City of Toronto. The searches resulted in the seizure of:
- A loaded 9mm handgun with a high-capacity extended magazine
- Seven kilograms of Crystal Methamphetamine
- 1.8 kilograms of Cocaine
- About 2,600 grams of Percocet
- About 500 grams of Fentanyl
- About 1000 grams of Xanax
- More than 1,000 rounds of ammunition
- $1,820 in Canadian currency
- A money counter machine
- Two digital scales
- An Autel Automotive Key programming tool
The accused, Louis Aloysius, 29, of Toronto, has been charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing it's Possession is Unauthorized
- Careless Storage of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking X5
The accused was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
