Peel Police - Police Identify Male Body Found in Credit River

Mississauga – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have identified the male body found in the Credit River in Mississauga on Saturday April 29, 2017.

At approximately 9:10am, Peel Regional Police were advised of a body found in the Credit River in the area of Pine Tree Cr. and Stavebank Road, Mississauga. With the assistance of the Peel Regional Police Marine Unit the body was located and removed from the river and no identification was located. Through fingerprint identification the body has now been identified as Albert WALTERS a 47 year old male from the City of Brampton.

Mr. WALTERS had previously been reported missing by his family on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. He was last seen in the area of Fleetwood Crescent and Bramalea Road, Brampton.

The investigation into the incident is still on-going however police do not believe foul play is involved. Investigators are asking anyone with information pertaining to the events or actions of Mr. WALTERS between April 12 and April 29, 2017 to contact police with that information.
