Peel Police-Peel’s Two Newest Deputy Chiefs Now Official
Region of Peel – Following a formal swearing-in ceremony held today at the Emil V. Kolb Centre for Policing Excellence, Peel Regional Police Chief Jennifer Evans is proud to formally introduce our two newest Deputy Chiefs, Deputy Chief Marc Andrews and Deputy Chief Ingrid Berkeley-Brown.
Following the retirement of Deputy Chief Brian Adams, the Police Services Board set out to replace the vacant Deputy Chief position. During the selection process, the Board determined that both Deputies Andrews and Berkeley-Brown stood out for their skills, experience and expertise. In collaboration with Chief Jennifer Evans, the Board determined that they would promote both candidates, bringing the total number of Deputy Chiefs of Police in Peel to four.
Chief Evans has great confidence in both Deputy Chiefs abilities to lead within the organization and the community. The members of the Chief’s Management Group look forward to working with the new Deputies as we continue to strengthen relationships within our community to achieve our Vision of A Safer Community Together.
Deputy Chief Marc Andrews is assigned as the Officer-in-Charge of Operations Support Command. This includes areas such as Court Services, Record Services, the Community Engagement and Inclusion Bureau, Emergency Support Services and Road Safety Services.
Deputy Chief Ingrid Berkeley-Brown is assigned as the Officer-in-Charge of Field Operations Command which includes all of the Uniform Divisions throughout the Region of Peel, the Communications Bureau, the Analytics Bureau and the Duty Inspectors Office.
Please join the Police Services Board and Peel Regional Police in congratulating both Deputy Chiefs Marc Andrews and Ingrid Berkeley-Brown on their accomplishment as they continue to serve our community together.
