Peel Police-Officer Charged with Fraud and Laundering Proceeds of Crime
Region of Peel – On Tuesday, May 22, 2018, Retired Constable Mark Androlia, a 40-year employee of Peel Regional Police was arrested and charged.
Following a nine-month-long investigation Constable Androlia was charged by the Peel Regional Police Professional Standards Bureau with Fraud Over $5,000 and Laundering Proceeds of Crime. He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday, June 25, 2018. After learning of the allegations, Chief Jennifer Evans immediately ordered an investigation into the officer’s conduct.
"We hold our employees to a higher standard and we expect them to be exemplary members of the community. These charges are of a serious nature and it is important for the community to know that these allegations do not reflect the good work being done each day by the 2,000 plus police officers within Peel Regional Police," said Chief Evans
