Peel Police Now Accepting Submissions for 2018 Media Awards

Region of Peel – It’s that time of year again! Peel Regional Police are now accepting submissions for this year’s Media Awards.  Peel Regional Police would like to invite members of the media to submit your work so you can be recognized.

The media awards were initiated to recognize the special efforts made by media outlets in a number of categories. These categories include:

• Print News
• Radio News
• Television News
• Ethnic News;
• Editorial (any medium),
• Photography, and
• Social Media.

The competition is open to all journalists, photographers and illustrators (print or electronic media) whose entries contain reference to Peel Regional Police, and were published or aired during 2017.

Police Organizations require the community’s support and involvement to operate effectively. Peel Regional Police appreciate the role the media plays in providing important information to our communities. We ask that you to take a few moments to review any stories you covered that involved Peel Regional Police and submit them for consideration.

The 2018 media awards will be presented during our annual Police Services Board Awards ceremony on Thursday June 14, 2018, at the Mississauga Convention Centre located at 75 Derry Road West, Mississauga, at 7:00 p.m.
