Peel Police - Male Wanted for Attempted Murder Arrested
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a male in relation to an Attempt Murder investigation in the City of Brampton.
On Thursday, October 26, 2017, at approximately 4:30 a.m. Peel Regional Police responded to a male who had been shot. Two males had become involved in an altercation that was initiated in the plaza parking lot at Queen Street East and West Drive. The incident then led to a shooting at the intersection of Clark Boulevard and Highway 410, in the City of Brampton.
The victim a 55 year-old male from Brampton sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and was taken to a local trauma centre.
On Tuesday October 31, 2017 Investigators from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau identified the person responsible for the shooting. A warrant of arrest for Attempt Murder was issued for Tivon GOULDBOURNE, a 26 year-old male from Brampton.
On Friday November 3, 2017 Tivon GOULDBOURNE was arrested by Toronto Police Service and turned over to investigators from 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau. Tivon GOULDBOURNE was chargedwith Attempted Murder, Discharge Firearm with Intent andtwo counts of Possession of Firearm Contrary to Order. Tivon GOULDBOURNE was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Saturday, November 4, 2017.
Investigators are still searching for the vehicle Tivon GOULDBOURNE is believed to have been operating during the incident. The vehicle is a black 2014 Nissan Sentra 4 door bearing Ontario marker *CBWF057* with tinted windows and black steel rims. There is damage to the rear driver side tail light.
