Peel Region– This long weekend, people all across this great nation will be celebrating Canada’s 150th birthday. Impaired Driving, Dangerous driving, distracted driving, are just some of the causes of devastating collisions on our roads.  These and other causes can be prevented by the decisions YOU make while travelling by your method of choice.

The Peel Regional Police Road Safety Services is committed to the safety of everyone travelling on our roadways. Road Safety Services will be conducting RIDE spot checks throughout the Region as well conducting targeted enforcement to ensure everyone using our roadways is obeying All laws at ALL times.

"Road safety is everyone’s responsibility.  The deaths, pain and heartache caused from irresponsible driving behaviour can be prevented," says Inspector Paul Pogue.

Peel Regional Police ask the public to choose safe behaviours while travelling on our roadways, whether you are driving or a passenger. It is incumbent upon the police and the public to work together to ensure that everyone gets to their destination safely.

Peel Regional Police wish everyone a safe and Happy 150th Canada Day.
