Peel Police Make an Arrest in 25th Homicide of 2018

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating the 25th Homicide of 2018, which has claimed the life of a 14 year-old boy of Mississauga.

On Friday, December 7, 2018 at 7:58 a.m. police received a call for a deceased 14 year-old boy located in a park in the area of Lewisham Drive and Truscott Drive in Mississauga.  

On Friday, December 7, 2018 Nicholas Mahabir, a 20 year-old man from Mississauga, was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder. Mahabir will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice on December 8, 2018 for a bail hearing.

The investigation continues and investigators continue to believe this is an isolated incident.
