Peel Police - Firearms Stolen In Residential Break & Enter (1)

Region of PeelInvestigators from the 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are investigating a residential break and enter, which led to a theft of firearms.

On Wednesday, February 22, 2018, a break and enter to a residence in the area of Rathburn Road West and Mavis Road in the City of Mississauga, was reported to police.

Investigation revealed that in the evening hours of February 17, 2018 the homeowners of a residence undergoing renovations noticed that a safe containing firearms had been taken.  During renovations the homeowners were not residing at the residence.

Items taken:

  • Honeywell 500 pound gun safe
  • 3 shotguns
  • 1 long rifle
  • Unknown amount of ammunition

The firearms were stored correctly as per Criminal Code requirements.
