Peel Police - Arrests Made in the 2017 Murder of a 28 Year Old Mississauga Male

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have made multiple arrests stemming from a March 2017 Homicide, where a 28 year old victim, Shane THOMAS, was gunned down in the City of Mississauga. 

On March 1, 2017 police were called to the area of 1547 Mississauga Valley Boulevard, in regards to multiple calls for gunshots. Upon arrival, police located the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was subsequently pronounced deceased at the scene.

After a lengthy investigation by the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau, six search warrants were executed in three separate jurisdictions on February 1, 2018.

As a result eight parties have been arrested and charged with multiple offences in relation to the homicide:

  1. Victor BROOKS, 23 year old male from the City of Mississauga, 1st Degree Murder.
  1. Shantel MANBAUMAN, 24 year old female from the City of Brampton, 1st Degree Murder. 
  1. Sarah JIMENEZ, 48 year old female from the City of Mississauga, Accessory After the Fact.
  1. Kyesha BROOKS, 26 year old female from the City of Mississauga, Accessory After the Fact.
  1. Roger BROOKS Sr., 49 year old male from the City of Mississauga, Accessory After the Fact.
  1. Roger BROOKS Jr., 24 year old male from the City of Mississauga, Accessory After the Fact, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Domestic Assault and Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts).
  1. Sarah PARSONS, 25 year old female from the City of Mississauga, Accessory After the Fact, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking (2 counts).
  1. Jermoll BAIN, 25 year old male from the City of Toronto, Accessory After the Fact, Conspiracy to Commit Robbery, Domestic Assault and Breach of Recognizance.

 

All parties were held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on February 2, 2018.
