Peel Police-Arrests Made in Mississauga Shooting Incident Firearms and Ammunition Recovered
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged three males in relation to a shooting incident that occurred last August in the City of Mississauga.
On Monday August 28, 2017, at approximately 7:00 p.m., a group of males were involved in a dispute in the parking lot at the rear of a residential building in the area of Fieldgate Drive and Bloor Street, in the City of Mississauga. A firearm became involved and a male victim was shot.
The victim, a 20 year-old male resident of Mississauga was transported to a Toronto trauma centre by ambulance with serious but non-life threatening injuries, he is recovering from his injuries.
Anthony DASS, an 18 year old male from Toronto, as well as two 17 year-old males, one from Mississauga and one from Toronto, have been identified as being involved in the incident. Anthony DASS was arrested on December 14, 2017. As a result of a criminal search warrant two hand guns were recovered, DASS has been charged with seven firearms related offences and a YCJA breach.

Anthony DASS was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on December 14, 2017 and is currently in custody.
A 17 year-old Toronto resident has been charged with Accessory After the Fact. A 17 year-old Mississauga resident has been charged with Careless Storage of Firearm and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime.Both youths were held pending bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton and are still in custody.
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person and, therefore, the identities of the Young Persons charged in this investigation are protected.
