Peel Police - Arrest Made in 14th Homicide of 2018
Region of Peel â Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau are investigating the 14th homicide of 2018, which has claimed the life of a Mississauga man.
On Sunday, June 24, 2018 at approximately 7:00 p.m. Peel Regional Police along with Mississauga Fire responded to a vehicle fire in a green space in the area of Lakeshore Road and Dixie Road in Mississauga. Once the fire was extinguished a deceased human body was located inside the vehicle.
Shortly after the incident on Sunday June 24, 2018 investigators arrested and charged Ainar GANCTHEV, a 27 year-old male of Mississauga for Second Degree Murder and Arson. He will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday June 25, 2018 for a bail hearing.
