Our Service Dogs Need Your Help

Meet Police Service Dog Argo, he’s a 7-year old Belgian Shepherd that is eager to please. He’s trained to track criminals, locate missing people and detect explosives.

Argo works hard every day to help his handler, Constable John Cook, protect the community, but to keep him up to snuff, he and his friends are looking for new places to train within the Region of Peel. To train canines like Argo, we need empty or unused buildings, office complexes, large houses, commercial and/or manufacturing premises.

It is vitally important that our police dogs receive training in realistic venues to prepare them for duty. If you own or manage a property and would be interested in helping Argo and his team, your support would be greatly appreciated.

If you think you can help, contact our Canine Unit at 905-453-2121 ext. 3655 for more information and tell them Argo sent you!
