Oshawa Man Arrested and Charged in Brampton Shooting
Region of Peel â Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have arrested and charged a man in relation to a shooting in the City of Brampton.
Monday, February 19, 2018 at approximately 8:10 p.m. Peel Regional Police attended the area of Almond Street and Vanderpool Crescent in Brampton for reports of a shooting. Officers located a male victim suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victim, a 39 year-old man of Brampton, was transported to a local trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Friday, July 13, 2018 investigators arrested and charged Jaedyn Versaci Mills, a 21 year-old Oshawa man, in connection with the shooting. Mills was charged with the following offences:
Attempted Murder
Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
Careless Storage of a Firearm or Ammunition
Unauthorized Possession in a Motor Vehicle
Possession of Prohibited or restricted Firearm with Ammunition
Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
Discharge Firearm with Intent
Mills was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
