Mississauga Traffic Stop Leads to Firearm and Drugs
Region of Peel â Officers from Peel Regional Police 21 Division have arrested a male for being in possession of a handgun during a traffic stop in Mississauga.
On Friday, June 8, 2018, at 8:45 p.m., police investigated a motor vehicle in the area of Derry Road East and Rexwood Road in the City of Mississauga. During the traffic stop, investigation revealed that the occupant in the vehicle was in possession of a 9mm caliber handgun. Also located in the vehicle was Marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, and heroin with a total value in excess of $200,000.
Gurmilan MATHAROO, a 27 year old male from Toronto has been charged with numerous firearm and drug related offences.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the A. Grenville & William Davis Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on June 9, 2018.
