Mississauga Bank Robbery Suspect Arrested
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau would like to thank the public for assisting police with information that led to an arrest.
On Thursday, February 15, 2018, the suspect entered a CIBC branch located at 1150 Lorne Park Road in the City of Mississauga. The suspect approached a bank teller and handed over a note making a demand for money. The bank teller complied and the suspect left the bank in an unknown direction. The incident was captured on video surveillance.
A media release was issued to the public on February 16, 2018, with images of the suspect. Several tips were received along with Crime Stoppers information that helped to identify the suspect.
On February 27, 2018, Randall McLELLAN, a 49 year-old male form the City of Oakville was arrested and charged with one count of Robbery. McLELLAN was held for a bail hearing to take place on February 28, 2018, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
