Man Wanted for Attempt Murder and Firearms Offences
Region of Peelâ Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect that is wanted for attempted murder and several firearms related offences.
On Monday, February 25, 2019, the victim and the suspect, who are known to each other, were outside of a residence on Yorkland Boulevard in the City of Brampton during the early afternoon. After some discussion, the suspect retrieved a firearm and shot the victim causing her to suffer non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect fled the incident location in a 2013 Dodge Dart, black in colour with Ontario licence plate CFTS 598. The victim was subsequently transported to a trauma centre for treatment.
As a result of this investigation, Devon Ruddock-Brooks, a 20-year-old man from Brampton is currently wanted for attempt murder and several other related offences.
Devon Ruddock-Brooks should be considered armed and dangerous. If located do not approach, call 9-1-1.
