Man Arrested in Sexual Assault Investigation

Region of PeelInvestigators from the Peel Regional Police Special Victims Unit have charged a man with several sex related offences.

In October of 2018, the man began a conversation with a 14 year-old girl on an online social media platform. The man indicated that he was 17 years old, and over the next several months conversed with the victim through social media. In January of 2019, the victim and the man met at a residence at which point he sexually assaulted the victim.

On Sunday, January 13, 2019, Neil Boni, a 31-year-old man from Brampton was arrested and charged with Sexual Assault, Sexual Interference, Harassing Communications and Mischief. Neil Boni was held for a bail hearing and appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on January 14, 2019.

Investigators believe that Neil Boni utilized the online profile name ‘West6North’ and went by the nameGobiii’. Investigators are asking anyone who has had contact with Neil Boni, to contact the Peel Regional Police, Special Victims Unit.
