Man Arrested for Sexual Assault (1)

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau have arrested the 20 year-old-man involved in a sexual assault investigation.

On January 13, 2019 at approximately 7 p.m., the victim was at a shopping centre located in the area of Burnhamthorpe Road and Hurontario Street in the City of Mississauga. At this time, the unknown suspect approached the victim, sexually assaulted her and fled the area.

Abubaker Ahmed, a 20 year-old-man of no fixed address was arrested on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at 6:07 p.m. in Mississauga. He was charged with Sexual Assault and Breach of Probation Order. Abubaker Ahmed was held for a bail hearing and will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on January 17, 2019.
