Male Impersonating a Police Officer
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are warning the public of a male party impersonating as a police officer in the City of Mississauga.
On Thursday March 15, 2018 at approximately 12:40 p.m. Peel Regional Police received a call to attend a residence in the area of Confederation Parkway and Huntington Ridge Drive, Mississauga. The homeowner, a 57 year-old male, advised police that a male tried gaining entrance to his residence by advising he worked with the government and proceeded to show a wallet displaying a fake police badge.
The suspect is described as: Male, White, 5’8”, black hair, black jacket, and black pants.
Police attended the area and were unable to locate the suspect.
Peel Regional Police would like to remind the public that if dealing with an officer who is not in uniform and not driving a fully marked cruiser, they can call Peel Regional Police to have the identity verified.
