Male Charged in a Mississauga Carjacking

Region of Peel - Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau with the assistance of Halton Regional Police arrested and charged a man in relation to the carjacking incident in the City of Mississauga. 

On Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 1:57 p.m. the victim, a 96 year-old woman of Mississauga, was in the passenger seat of her vehicle, a blue Toyota Sienna, in the plaza at North Service Road and Dixie Road in Mississauga. At this time the suspect entered the vehicle and drove away with the victim still inside.

The victim was taken to a bank where the suspect used her debit card to make numerous withdrawals of cash. He then abandoned the victim in the vehicle in the plaza at Speers Road and Kerr Street in Oakville. The victim did not sustain any physical injuries in this incident. Halton Regional Police arrested the suspect a short distance away.

Nicholas Forbes, a 30 year-old male of no fixed address, was charged with Kidnapping, Breach Probation, and two counts of Robbery. He appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on November 18, 2018.
