Male Arrested for Multi-Jurisdictional Crime Spree
Region of Peel - Investigators from the Criminal Investigation Bureaus in 22 and 11 Division arrested and charged a male responsible for a multi-jurisdictional crime spree spanning January 24 to June 18, 2018. The crime spree consisted of numerous break and enters, stolen vehicles, and intentionally ramming police vehicles.
On Monday, June 18, 2018 at 12:46 p.m. the accused was involved in a fail to remain collision while operating a stolen vehicle, in the City of Brampton. At 12:50 p.m. the accused was arrested in the area of Fair Oaks Place, Brampton
As a result of this investigation, Andrew Noel, a 31-year-old male, from the City of Brampton, has been charged with 33 offences including assault police with a weapon, robbery, dangerous operation, break and enter, possession of stolen property, mischief, theft, and theft of motor vehicle. Further charges are expected from the neighbouring jurisdictions of Barrie, Halton and Waterloo Police.
Andrew Noel was responsible for 6 stolen vehicles and 9 separate break and enters. There were a total of 13 victims involved with an estimated $125,000 in property stolen. Police were able to recover some of the property.
Andrew Noel appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice for a bail hearing on Tuesday, June 19, 2018.
