Loaded Firearm Seized from Vehicle

Region of Peel - Officers from the Strategic Tactical Enforcement Policing (S.T.E.P.) team charged an adult man and adult woman with firearm and drug-related offences in the City of Brampton.
On Saturday, July 29, 2023, at 7:25 p.m., S.T.E.P officers investigated a vehicle in the area of Kennedy Road and Glidden Road, in the City of Brampton.
During the investigation, a loaded Glock 23 firearm was seized from the vehicle, and as a result, both the man and woman were charged.
Quincy King, a 32-year-old man from the City of Brampton, is charged with the following offences:
- Obstruct Peace Officer
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition
- Carrying Concealed Weapon
- Possession for the Purpose
- Breach of Probation
He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
Kenisha Sobers, a 30-year-old woman from the City of Oshawa, is charged with the following offences:
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Occupant of a Motor Vehicle Knowing There was a Firearm
She was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
