Join Us! Police Women Wanted
Peel Regional Police looks to hire strong qualified females. Our goal is to empower women and show them the many opportunities this career path has to offer. In an attempt to do that, a special recruiting event is being held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. at Emil Kolb Centre for Police Excellence at 180 Derry Road East, Mississauga, Ontario.
The Recruiting Bureau planned this unique opportunity for the participants to not only learn about the hiring process but to participate in a full day of interactive activities involving various areas of our organization.
The audience will be welcomed by Chief Jennifer Evans. We will showcase several specialized units, such as Tactical and K9, Forensics, Incident Response Training Unit and Fitness Unit, and have the women in these positions speak about their career paths. Participants will learn about forensic investigative techniques, participate in defensive tactics and experience scenarios. Our fitness unit will take them through a segment of recruit constable training and educate them about the importance of hydration and nutrition when training.
