Four Youth Arrested Following Robbery Attempt at Erin Mills Town Centre
Region of Peel – Peel Regional Police have made multiple arrests and recovered a stolen vehicle following a robbery attempt at Erin Mills Town Centre in Mississauga.
On Dec. 3, 2025, at approximately 2:50 p.m., four masked individuals wearing all-black clothing and carrying hammers were seen entering the mall. Mall security and an on-site paid-duty police officer spotted the suspects and pursued them. Security apprehended one of the suspects, while the other three escaped in a stolen Honda CR-V. No injuries were reported, and no property was stolen from the mall.
Officers from 11 Division Community Intervention and Response Team quickly spotted the vehicle and were able to coordinate with responding patrol officers who boxed in the vehicle, preventing a pursuit. Following a brief foot chase, the three suspects were arrested within three minutes of fleeing the mall.
Investigators also linked the group to an earlier robbery attempt in York Region and have laid charges in that incident.
Four male youths, aged 14-17, were held in custody pending bail hearings for the following offences:
- Robbery
- Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Disguise with Intent (x2)
A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.
