Firearm and Drugs Seized and One Arrested in Residential Search Warrant

Region of Peel – In September, 2018, investigators from Vice Narcotics Street Level Organized Crime with the assistance of 12 and 11 Division Criminal Investigation Bureaus conducted an investigation into drug trafficking in the City of Mississauga.

At the conclusion of an ongoing investigation on September 21, 2018, Peel Police executed a search warrant at a residence in the area of Eglinton Avenue and Forum Drive in the City of Mississauga.

As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized a .40 calibre Glock 23 handgun with a large amount of ammunition and a quantity of cocaine, crack cocaine, marihuana and other drug paraphilia. The street value of the seized drugs was in excess of $5000.00.

Jahmari Bernard a 19 year-old male from Mississauga was arrested and charged with the numerous firearm and drug related offences and attended the Ontario Court of Justice, Brampton for a bail hearing on September 22nd, 2018.
