Don’t Let Traffic Ruin Your Drive

Is traffic causing you anxiety, anger and frustration? These feelings can have a very negative impact on your driving.

Take a deep breath and follow these safe driving techniques which will not only help you become a better driver, you’ll be sure to pull through those traffic jams without a problem.

  1. Plan ahead. Always check the traffic prior to getting in the car. Change your route if necessary.
  2. Look ahead. Always look as far ahead as you can to react accordingly to the traffic as it can change very quickly.
  3. Be seen. Use your signals to notify other drivers in advance of what you’re doing, and make your turn or lane change safely.   
  4. Safe distance. Always keep a minimum of two to three seconds between you and the vehicle ahead of you.
  5. Be courteous. Avoid tailgating and driving aggressively. Allow other drivers to maneuver around your car safely when needed.

Remember to focus your attention on safe and calm driving to ensure you get yourself to your destination safely and without a problem.
