City of Brampton Complaints Leads to Drug Charges

 

Region of Peel â€“   Uniform officers and investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have been working together to investigate some community complaints in the City of Brampton which has resulted in charges laid for multiple drug-related offences. 

On May 2, 2020, an investigation began stemming from multiple community complaints surrounding a residence in the area of Main Street and Theatre Lane in Brampton.   

On May 4, 2020, officers executed a search warrant at the residence and seized a quantity of Crack Cocaine, Cocaine, Fentanyl, Oxycodone, Heroin, and Benzodiazepine. Also seized, was an amount of Canadian currency, debt list, and drug paraphernalia. 

Chase Swails, a 45-year-old man from Brampton, was arrested and charged with the following offences: 

Possession of the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA- Crack Cocaine

Possession of the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA- Cocaine

Possession of a Controlled Substance 4(1) CDSA- Fentanyl

Possession of a Controlled Substance 4(1) CDSA- Oxycodone 

Possession of a Controlled Substance 4(1) CDSA- Heroin

Possession of a Controlled Substance 4(1) CDSA- Benzodiazepine

Chase Swails was released on an Undertaking with a court date of July 9, 2020, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton. 

Mia Waters, a 22-years-old woman from Brampton, was arrested and charged with Obstruct Police. She was released on an Appearance Notice, with a court date of July 8, 2020, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
