Charges Laid After Multiple Vehicles Damaged in Brampton
Region of Peel â Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have charged a man after multiple vehicles were damaged in the City of Brampton.
On Monday, July 13, 2020, a man attended a residential underground parking garage on Lisa Street in the City of Brampton. He damaged 19 motor vehicles and stole various items, including credit cards, that he later used to commit fraud.
Further investigation revealed, he was responsible for two similar incidents on Greene Drive in the City of Brampton on February 23, 2020.
Damon Smith-Metzler, a 30-year-old man of no fixed address, was arrested on July 13, 2020, he was charged with the following:
21 counts of Mischief over $5000
Four counts of Theft under $5000
Two counts of Fraud
Five counts of Breach of Probation
He was held for a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on July 14, 2020.
