Central Robbery Bureau Arrest Third Male in Violent Carjackings

Region of Peel - Investigators from the Central Robbery Bureau with the assistance of Waterloo Regional Police arrested and charged a third male in relation to numerous carjacking incidents.

Between Saturday May 5, 2018 and Thursday May 10, 2018 a total of six violent carjacking incidents took place in the Region of Peel, Halton and Waterloo.

After a lengthy investigation by the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau three involved suspects were identified. On Tuesday July 3, 2018 with the assistance of Waterloo Regional Police, three separate warrants were executed in the City of Waterloo and Cambridge.

As a result Irshad SABRIYE, a 19 year-old male from Kitchener was arrested and charged on Thursday, May 10, 2018 with Robbery with Firearm and numerous firearms related charges. During the arrest Irshad was found to be in possession of a handgun. Irshad Sabriye was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday May 11, 2018.

Ban BOTH, an 18 year-old male from Kitchener was arrested and charged on Tuesday July 3, 2018 with Robbery with Firearm and numerous firearms related charges. During the arrest Both was found to be in possession of a handgun. Ban Both was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Wednesday July 4, 2018.

On Thursday July 5, 2018 Pierre CHERY, a 19 year-old male of Cambridge, was arrested and charged with Robbery with Firearm and numerous firearms related charges. Chery Pierre was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Friday July 6, 2018.
