Canada Wide Arrest Warrant Issued for 21st Homicide of 2018

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have obtained a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant for second degree murder, in relation to the 21st homicide of 2018.

On Tuesday October 2, 2018 at approximately 5:47 p.m., officers responded to reports of shots fired at a townhouse complex located at 7475 Goreway Drive in the City of Mississauga. Shortly after, a man arrived at Etobicoke General Hospital suffering from an apparent gunshot wound and later succumbed to his injuries.

The victim has been identified as 30 year-old Dorren Campbell.

Investigators have identified 31 year-old Richard Chambers as the shooter.

On October 25, 2018, a Canada Wide Arrest Warrant for second degree murder was issued.

Richard Chambers is described as male black, 5’11”, 175 lbs., black hair and brown eyes.

Richard Chambers is also wanted on another Canada Wide Arrest Warrant for a shooting that occurred on September 22, 2018, in the City of Mississauga.

Richard Chambers is advised to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to the nearest police station.

He is considered a danger to the public and if located do not approach, call 911 immediately.

Anyone found assisting Richard Chambers in evading arrest, may be arrested and subject to prosecution.
