Brampton Shooting â One Arrested, One Outstanding
Region of Peel â Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau have made an arrest in relation to a shooting incident in the City of Brampton
On Friday, March 13, 2020, at 9:30 a.m., Police received a call for a collision involving two vehicles in the area of Bovaird Drive East and Main Street North in the City of Brampton. Two males were seen fleeing the accident on foot from a silver vehicle.
Officers attended the area and identified the silver vehicle as stolen. Upon responding to the area, Police successfully located and arrested one of the suspects that had fled. The second male involved remains outstanding and is described as male, black, slim, in his early twenties, wearing dark clothing and had his face covered.
On Friday, March 13, 2020 at 10:22 a.m., Police received a call in relation to a vehicle located with several bullet holes in the area of Queen Street West and James Potter Road in the City of Brampton. Investigation revealed that the gunshots had occurred at approximately 9:15 a.m. and involved the same stolen vehicle as the fail to remain.
Tyson Henry, a 20 year-old male from the City of Brampton was charged with the following criminal offences:
- Fail to Stop After an Accident,
- Intentionally Discharge a Firearm Recklessly,
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited Restricted Firearm,
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm,
- Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There Was a Firearm.
He will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton on March 14, 2020
