Brampton Resident Wanted for Numerous Offences

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are seeking assistance from the public in locating a suspect that is wanted for numerous offences.

On December 3, 2018, the victim and the suspect, who are known to each other, were at a residence in the City of Brampton during the early morning hours. The victim attempted to leave the residence when the suspect prevented the victim from doing so. Over the next several hours, the suspect assaulted the victim until the victim was finally allowed to leave later on in the evening.

Latisha Edwards, a 24-year-old resident of the City of Brampton, has been identified as the suspect in this incident and is believed to be actively evading police. As such, a warrant of arrest was issued for Latisha Edwards for the following offences:

1)      Forcible Confinement
2)      Assault
3)      Sexual Assault
