Assistance Sought in Hit and Run Collision
Region of Peel – Investigators from the 22 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau (CIB) are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and suspect vehicle involved in a serious hit and run.
On Friday, Jan. 9, at approximately 5:50 p.m., police responded to a collision involving a pedestrian at Ray Lawson Boulevard and Falstaff Drive in Brampton. The vehicle fled the scene westbound on Ray Lawson Boulevard, and the driver made no attempt to check on the person they struck. The victim, an adult woman, suffered several fractures and is recovering.
The suspect vehicle is described as a white, four-door Honda Civic, model years 2010 to 2015, with frontal damage. Debris from the suspect vehicle was recovered at the scene and is being analyzed. Investigators have obtained CCTV and dashcam footage of the vehicle and continue to canvass along its suspected route.
The suspect is strongly advised to seek legal counsel and turn themselves in to police.
