Arrests Made in Homicide Investigation

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested and charged two individuals in connection with a homicide that occurred in Brampton.

On Friday, Dec. 26, at approximately 7:45 a.m., Peel Regional Police responded to a 911 call reporting a stabbing at a residence near Main Street North and Church Street East. Officers located a 32-year-old male victim inside the home suffering from stab wounds. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Accused in homicide investigation, Jaiden Brett-Hughes, of Mississauga
Two suspects were located inside the residence during the emergency response and were subsequently arrested and charged with Second-Degree Murder:
  • Jaiden Brett-Hughes, a 26-year-old man from Mississauga
  • Tandaeka Frazer, a 31-year-old woman from Brampton

Both suspects will appear for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Monday, Dec. 29.

Investigators believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to public safety. No additional suspects are being sought at this time.
