Arrest Made in Sexual Assault Investigation (1)

Region of Peel– Investigators from the Special Victims Unit (SVU) have arrested the suspect believed to be involved in multiple sexual assault incidents in Mississauga.

Between May and Aug. 2025, the accused is alleged to have sexually assaulted multiple victims along the Lake Wabukayne Trail, specifically near the tunnel bridge by Glen Erin Drive, north of Windwood Drive in Mississauga. In each reported incident, the accused, who was unknown to the victims, is alleged to have approached them unexpectedly and grabbed them without provocation. The victims did not require medical attention.

After a lengthy investigation, on Sep. 22, a youth from Mississauga was arrested and charged with five counts of Sexual Assault.

He was later released on a Form 10 – Release Order with conditions to attend court at a later date.

A general provision of the Youth Criminal Justice Act (Y.C.J.A.) prohibits the release of the name of a Young Person, and, therefore, the identity of the Young Persons charged in this investigation is protected.

Investigators have been in the area actively investigating these incidents and believe there may be additional victims and witnesses. Anyone with information is urged to call SVU at 905-453-2121 ext. 3460. Anonymous information may also be submitted by calling Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or visiting peelcrimestoppers.ca.
