Arrest Made in Robbery at Financial Institution
Region of Peel – Investigators from the Peel Regional Police Central Robbery Bureau have charged a man in connection to a robbery at a financial institution in Brampton.
On the morning of June 15, 2023, the accused attended a financial institution in the area of Main Street South and Queen Street East in Brampton.
Upon entering the financial institution while wearing a weighted vest, he allegedly demanded money, indicating he had an explosive device. The victim, fearing for her safety, turned over a quantity of money, and the accused fled on foot.
Investigators quickly identified the accused, and he was arrested. A search warrant was executed at a Brampton residence, where clothing worn during the robbery was seized and stolen money, recovered. Investigators have established that the weighted vest did not contain any explosives.
Jordan Krane, a 33-year-old man from Brampton, has been charged with robbery.
On June 16, 2023, KRANE appeared at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing.
As the investigation continues, it is anticipated that further charges may be laid.
