Arrest Made in Relation to Numerous Brampton Break-Ins
Region of Peel â Investigators from the 22 Division Break and Enter Unit have made an arrest in relation to a string of Break and Enters in the City of Brampton.
Throughout the months of February and early March 2020, there were several nighttime residential break and enters throughout the City of Brampton. In some of the incidents, the residents were home while the suspect was inside, though no contact was made with the suspect. In total, over $10,000 in property and cash was stolen.
On March 10, 2020, Brian Alves a 37-year-old man of no fixed address was arrested and charged with; Break, Enter and Commit x 2, Theft Under $5000, Possession of Stolen Property and Attempt to Commit an Indictable Offence. On March 11, 2020 Brian Alves appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in the City of Brampton for a bail hearing.
As a result of the investigation over $6,000 in stolen property was recovered.
