Arrest made in Mississauga House Party Homicide

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested a male in the region’s 10th Homicide of 2018.

On Saturday, May 26, 2018 at approximately 1:15 a.m., officers responded to reports of a stabbing at a residence in the area of Tradewind Drive and Winston Churchill Boulevard in the City of Mississauga. Upon arrival officers located the victim with obvious signs of trauma.

The victim, Daniel Smith a 19 year-old Mississauga resident was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

On Thursday June 21st, 2018 Peel Regional Police arrested two males in connection with the murder of Daniel Smith. 

A male 16-year-old Young Offender from Mississauga was arrested and charged with Second Degree Murder and Assault Cause Bodily Harm.  He appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 21, 2018.

Also arrested in relation to this incident was Noor Mohamed an 18-year-old from Mississauga, he is charged with Accessory After Fact to Murder.  He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice on June 22, 2018.
