Arrest Made in Mississauga Hotel Robbery Investigation; Two Suspects Outstanding

Region of Peel – Officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) have made an arrest, seized a firearm, and are searching for two additional suspects following a robbery at a Mississauga hotel.

On March 7, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers responded to a hotel in the area of Hurontario Street and Derry Road. An adult male victim was robbed at gunpoint by three suspects who then fled the scene. The victim sustained minor injuries during the incident. Investigators completed a search warrant at the hotel which led to the recovery of a firearm.

As a result of the investigation, Abdoulkader Abdi, a 33-year-old man from Toronto, has been arrested and held in custody for a bail hearing on the following charges:

·       Robbery
·       Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
·       Possession of a Firearm
·       Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
·       Possession of a Prohibited Device or Ammunition for a Dangerous Purpose
·       Point Firearm
·       Careless Storage of a Firearm
·       Fail to Comply with Release Order

An arrest warrant has been issued for Kimberly MacIntyre, a 28-year-old woman from Mississauga, for Robbery. She is described as white, approximately 5’5” tall and 120 lbs., with a thin build, long brown hair, blue eyes, and a birthmark on the left side of her nose. She was last seen wearing a black winter coat with a brown fur-trimmed hood.

Investigators are also seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a third suspect involved in the robbery. The suspect is described as a male, approximately 20–25 years old, with a light complexion and a slim build. He was last seen wearing a black puffer jacket, a blue hooded tracksuit, grey running shoes, and a black balaclava.
