Arrest Made in Human Trafficking Investigation
Region of Peel – Officers from the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit have arrested and charged a Mississauga man in connection with a human trafficking investigation.
In November 2025, the Vice and Human Trafficking Unit investigated allegations that a suspect exploited and trafficked a female in the sex trade industry throughout the Greater Toronto Area. It is alleged that he used coercion, manipulation, and physical violence to maintain control and influence over the victim, while benefitting financially from the exploitation.
On Dec.18, 2025, 25-year-old Hasan Ahmed (also known as Hassan) was arrested and charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
- Trafficking in Persons
- Exercise Control
- Material Benefit – Sexual Services
- Procuring
- Advertise Sexual Services
- Receiving Benefit Results from Trafficking in Persons
- Assault
Ahmed was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
