Arrest Made in Brampton Homicide

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Homicide and Missing Persons Bureau have arrested and charged a man in connection with a recent homicide that occurred in Brampton.

On Monday, Jan. 12, at approximately 6 p.m., the victim and the accused were in a parking lot near Castlemore Road and McVean Drive when they became involved in a verbal dispute that escalated into a physical altercation. The victim was assaulted, sustained serious injuries, and was transported to hospital. On Thursday, Jan. 15, the victim succumbed to their injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 25-year-old Abdifatah Ahmed of Brampton was arrested and charged with Manslaughter on Tuesday, Jan. 20. Ahmed was held pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice.
