Arrest Made in Aggravated Assault in Brampton
Region of Peel â Officers from 21 Division Criminal Investigative Bureau, with the assistance of Uniform Patrol have made an arrest in a domestic dispute resulting in an Aggravated Assault that occurred in Brampton.
On Saturday August 11, 2018, in the area of Knightsbridge Road in the City of Brampton at approximately 5:00 a.m. the victim, a 28-year-old female from Brampton and the accused Abdinasir Yusuf a 31-year-old male from Brampton, were in a residence when they became involved in an argument that escalated resulting with Abdinasir Yusuf using an edged weapon to assault the victim.
The victim suffered a stab wound to her chest, which subsequently punctured her lung. The victim is in stable condition.
On August 11, 2018, Abdinasir Yusuf was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault, Breach of Recognizance and Obstruct Police. He was held for a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice with a court date of August 12, 2018.
