Arrest Made Following Search Warrant
Region of Peel – Officers from the 22 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) executed search warrants at a Brampton residence, resulting in an arrest and multiple criminal charges.
Over the past year, Peel Regional Police have responded to numerous incidents involving firearms at a residence in the area of Conservation Drive and Dawnridge Trail in Brampton. These occurrences have posed significant risks to community safety and raised ongoing concerns of violence in nearby neighbourhoods.
Following proactive efforts to address these concerns, investigators obtained search warrants for this residence.
On Nov. 12, officers executed the warrants and arrested 37-year-old Tejinder Singh Kahlon, who was held for a bail hearing and charged with the following offences:
- Breach of Probation
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Carrying a Concealed Weapon
- Careless Use of Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device of Ammunition
- Intentionally Discharge a Firearm Recklessly
