Arrest Made After Vehicle Flee’s from RIDE Traffic Stop

Region of Peel – Investigators from the Safer Roads Team have arrested a prolific suspended driver after he fled from a traffic stop in Mississauga.

On Nov. 28, at approximately 1 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Britannia Road and Millcreek Drive to check for impairment as part of the 2025 Seasonal Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere (RIDE) Campaign.

While speaking with the driver, an odour of an alcoholic beverage was detected on his breath, and the officer requested that he provide a sample of his breath in a roadside breathalyzer device. The driver then fled from the stop at a high rate of speed.

The driver, 43-year-old Blair Titterson, of Mississauga, was later located and arrested.

The investigation determined that Titterson is subject to a lifetime driving ban for prior convictions for driving offences, including failing to provide a breath sample and driving while suspended. He is required to attend court for the following new offences:

  • Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle
  • Flight From Police
  • Operation While Prohibited
  • Refuse to Comply with Breath Demand
