Arrest Leads to Firearm Seizure
Region of Peel â Uniform officers and the Criminal Investigation Bureau from 12 Division have charged a 20-year-old man for driving and firearm offences in the City of Mississauga.
On October 18, 2020, at 6:14 pm, police attended the area of Eglinton Avenue and Kennedy Road in Mississauga to assist OPP regarding a vehicle involved in a fail to remain. Officers located the car and driver; subsequently, a revolver and ammunition were found and seized.
Tyrone Samuels, a 20-year-old man from Mississauga, was charged with the following offences:
Obstruct Peace Officer
Operation While Impaired
Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
Careless Storage of Firearm
Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
He was held pending a bail hearing and attended the Ontario Court of Justice on October 19, 2020, in the City of Brampton.
