Appeal for Public Assistance in Peel Region Homicide Investigation
Region of Peel – Investigators with the Homicide and Missing Person Bureau are seeking the public’s assistance in an ongoing homicide investigation involving a Mississauga woman.
Mezhgan Aini, 38, who also went by the names “Sara” or “Sarah,” resided in the area of Queen Frederica Drive and Dundas Street East in Mississauga. She was last seen in June 2022. She was reported missing to Peel Regional Police in June 2025 by family members in Afghanistan who had been unable to reach her for an extended period.

Peel Regional Police is now investigating her disappearance as a homicide.
Aini is described as 5’2” tall, medium build, with long, straight black hair.
Investigators are asking anyone who observed suspicious activity in the area of her residence between June 2022 and September 2022, who has not yet spoken with police, or who has information about Aini or her family, to come forward.
