Another Firearm Taken off the Streets

Region of Peel– Investigators from the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau arrested a male and have charged him with various firearm offences.

On Sunday, July 8, 2018, the 44-year-old male victim form North York, was driving in the area of Dundas Street East and Universal Drive, City of Mississauga. The victim became involved in an argument with another driver. The victim heard two loud bangs and his windshield was shattered. The victim was not injured.

On Tuesday, October 2, 2018, investigators located the accused in the City of Toronto and arrested him. During the arrest police located a fully loaded firearm along with additional ammunition.

Shayeed James a 25-year-old man from Toronto has been charged with numerous firearm offences along with Aggravated Assault, Mischief Over $5000. Shayeed James was held for a bail hearing that took place on October 3, 2018, at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton.
