2019 North American Police Soccer Tournament September 11 to 13 2019

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of the North American Police Soccer Tournament (NAPST). The annual event is hosted by a different police service every year with the goal of raising both awareness and money for selected charities and to “Encourage friendship and camaraderie between police members throughout North America through the common bond of soccer,” said tournament director, Constable Gary Thomas of Peel Regional Police.
For the first time, Peel Regional Police will be hosting the NAPST events. The tournament offers play in 5 categories, Men’s and Women’s competitive, Men’s and Women’s Recreational and the 40+ Masters Division. All matches will be played September 10-13 at Mississauga’s Paramount Fine Foods Centre and the Iceland Sports Complex.
Having had its start through the Vancouver Police Department back in 1980 with five teams competing in Stanley Park, the tournament has grown significantly with over 30 police agencies from across Canada and the USA competing for the championship and to raise funds for a worthwhile cause, which in 2019 is the Canadian Tire Jumpstart program.
Come cheer on the players and donate to a great cause!
