Every year Peel Regional Police reports its crime statistics to the Police Services Board and Regional Council by June of that year.

Below you will find a roll-up of the highlights from that report as well as Year to Date Crime Statistics (January 1 to August 31, 2021)*.

Homicides

Where one person causes the death of another, and includes:

  • 1st Degree Murder - planned and deliberate.
  • 2nd Degree Murder - not pre-planned.
  • Manslaughter - murder committed in the heat of passion caused by sudden provocation.
